Based on the provisions of Section 3c of the Salzburg State Police Penal Code as amended, it is hereby decreed:

§ 1: Throughout the entire municipal area of Forstau, dogs must be kept on a leash outside of buildings and sufficiently fenced areas so that the animal can be controlled at all times.

§ 2: The provision of the S does not apply to cases in which the use of dogs (avalanche search dogs, dogs in service with security forces, assistance dogs, etc.) excludes this.

§ 3: Persons responsible for the custody or supervision of dogs must immediately remove their dog's excrement from sidewalks and squares outside their own buildings and their own adequately fenced-in areas.

§ 4: Both the owner and the handler of the dog must ensure compliance with these provisions

§ 5: Violations of the provisions of this regulation constitute an administrative offence and are punishable in accordance with § 3c para. Salzburg State Police Penal Code with a fine of up to € 5,000 or with a prison sentence of up to one week. An animal that is the subject of such an administrative offence can be declared forfeited.

§ 6: Fighting dogs must also wear a muzzle outside of buildings and sufficiently fenced areas.

§ 7: This regulation comes into force on 1 January 2011.
